3D PRINTERS AND ME
The technology is developing and that means that the possibilities are expanding. 3D printers are starting to be popular. More and more have them in there home, and that’s really the time to think about the future! In a few years 3D printers will be accessible and affordable for everyone, and instead of going to the store to buy things we will be able to just download the file needed and print it in a few hours (in the future even in minuets) and….WAHLA.
I decided to design a ‘Going Out’ Clutch bag, which is a complicated fashion item. Thanks to this great technology I can design and print the whole thing from the same or even different material.
PROCESS AND INSTRUCTION
Find a 3dprinting studio / a friend who have a printer / just buy one yourself.
(The files are programmed according to the following steps. ‐In the staples () are showed the filament that I used. But you can choose any martial and color that you want).
THE PARTS
Print “Cover” + “Belt” (both TPU)
Print “Front” (PLA)
Print “Back” (TPU)
In this step there will be two programmed stops:
- for connecting the “Cover” to the “Back”.
- for connecting “Front” and “Belt” to the “Back”.
FIRST STOP
Put part “Cover” between the holes of part “Back”.
*Resume print*
Carefully! After resume the printer, look that the cover is not interfering.
I put some tape to keep parts from moving while printing
SECOND STOP
Put part “Front” between the holes of part “Back”. Put part “Belt” on top of part “Front”.
*Resume print*
Carefully! After resume the printer, look that the “Front” and “Belt” do not interfering.
I put some tape to keep parts from moving while printing
