Description

Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) is an oil based filament and has a higher melting point than PLA. ABS will be used in a lot of products in our daily life. Most of all plastic boxes and toys are made of it. ABS warps more than PLA and the temperature settings are different than from PLA.

Temperature settings
You only can print with the right temperature settings. The temperature setting can be different on your type of extruder. This is depending on the heat transfer from the extruder to the filament so you can use this as guideline but please adjust it to your own extruder.

Melting temperature: 200 °C
Nozzle temperature: 220°C – 260°C
Heated bed temperature: 60°C

ABS is opaque and not translucent. Please notice that you can print ABS only in well ventilated work areas. The fumes of ABS are not healthy.
